THE MIRROR
In the mirror
My right is my left
And my left is my right
In the mirror
I see an opposing reality
That is not true to life
I cannot see
The way other people see me
In the mirror
Only with a camera
Do I see myself
As others do
So the mirror
Must show anti-reality

YOU AND I
This poem is from the book "The Old Man In the Moon" by Paul Spradley, save up to 75% at www.lulu.com
YOU AND I
The morning sun rises
Shining through the cold
Shimmering on the ocean waves
In dazzling patterns of silver lace
Sandpipers challenge each receding wave
Then flee from the foamy dregs
Of another thunderous assault
Seagulls huddle together
In secret conference
Wet sandy barefoot run
We'll make them fly
Now they hover lazily in the sky
Singing with scorn
At you and I
YOU AND I
The morning sun rises
Shining through the cold
Shimmering on the ocean waves
In dazzling patterns of silver lace
Sandpipers challenge each receding wave
Then flee from the foamy dregs
Of another thunderous assault
Seagulls huddle together
In secret conference
Wet sandy barefoot run
We'll make them fly
Now they hover lazily in the sky
Singing with scorn
At you and I
