I got up some more
It was 3 or 4
I was up before
But for now - slept no more
I was through the door
I was hardly bored
As I turned on 4 cores
To compute some scores
Of variable chores
And read some lore
Of what was in store
For we whores of time
And try to sell a rhyme
Yes - giving away the hours
Working for higher powers
Who live in ivory towers
And do nothing but glower
And make us take showers
To their hearts content
Until we're spent
Then make us pay rent
On a life so sour
It puckers your mouth
And then it all goes south
Like some nuclear winter
During global warming
Yes - it all came along
With no warning
And left us to die
In the calm of its' eye
And it keeps ya guessin'
On how to lose this global depression
While we learn our lessons.
